In Cameroon, Herakles Farms’s subsidiary, SG Sustainable Oils Cameroon, Ltd. (SGSOC), is developing a 69,975 hectare land bank in the Southwest Region. A significant portion is suitable for planting, as SGSOC is excluding waterways, high conservation value (HCV) sites, buffer zones, plantation roads and land for the mills. The Company currently manages four nurseries and has begun preparation for field planting.

In Ghana, Herakles Farms’s subsidiary, SG Sustainable Oils Ghana, Ltd. (SGSOG), operates a 4,364-hectare land bank in the Volta Region. The company placed the first batch of seedlings into the nursery in October 2008. To date, more than 550,000 high-yielding drought and wilt-resistant oil palms have been planted.
